Gentleness – Seventh Night
We can let our light shine through gentleness. Gentleness can be described as having a mild and kind nature or manner, orusing little force or violence. Gentleness starts with humility and respect. We must view ourselves and others through God’s eyes. Each and every person is valuable to God. One way we show gentleness is by appreciating (recognizing) the worth, or value, of others.
We can recognize and appreciate others through the Holy Spirit’s help. He will also help us treat others with the same gentleness as Jesus would.
Philippians 4:5 NKJV “Let your gentleness be known to all men.”
Those around us should be able to see God’s gentleness through us.
Father, We thank-you for this time of the year when we can come together to remember all that You have done. We give You thanks for Your gentleness toward us. By the power of the Holy Spirit may we display the same gentleness toward others that has been shown toward us. May we treat others with humility and respect. Let us see ourselves and others through Your eyes. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
