1. Read Deuteronomy 18:1-20:20. What were the people to give the priests (the Levites) ?

Piñata

 

      The dictionary describes a piñata as a container broken to get gifts inside. Also as a decorated papier-mâché container of candy or small gifts that is hung from the ceiling and is hit and broken by blindfolded people with sticks.

2 Corinthians 9:15  NKJV    

“Thanks be to God for His indescribable gift!”

     A human body was the container that housed Jesus, the Son of God, a very wonderful gift to man.

John 1:14  NKJV   

  “And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth.”

     Jesus Christ, the Son of God was hung on a cross as our sin offering for our sin. It would have been enough for Jesus to shed His blood for our salvation, however He  provided much more for us. He allowed His body to be beaten beyond recognition for our healing (spiritual, physical, emotional, and much more). Prior to being hung on the cross Jesus was beaten by spiritually blind people, unknown to them each stripe providing for our healing.

Isaiah 53:5  NKJV   

  “But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; The chastisement for our peace was upon Him, And by His stripes we are healed.”

1. Read Deuteronomy 13:1-15:23. If someone tried to lead (entice) them to worshipping other gods, that person was to be put to ________________ by stones.

If a city was enticed to serve other gods they were to strike the inhabitants of that city with the edge of the sword, utterly destroying it, all that is in it and its livestock. They were to gather all its plunder into the middle of the street, and completely burn the city The city was not to be ______________.

1. Read Deuteronomy 11:1-12:32. The children of Israel were commanded to keep every commandment which God command them to. If they obeyed…

2. Read Luke 8:22-39. Jesus and His disciples got into a boat and set out to cross over to the other side of the lake. As they sailed Jesus fell asleep. What happened when a windstorm came down on the lake?

What did Jesus do?

What did Jesus say to the disciples?

When Jesus arrived at the country of the Gadarenes a man from the city who had ________________ for a long time met Jesus.

What did the man look like?

Where did the man live?

Dear Father,

1. Read Deuteronomy 9:1-10:22. As the children of Israel were about to cross over the Jordan, God told them that He was going ____________ them.

They had provoked the Lord  to wrath in the wilderness. From the day they had departed from the land of Egypt they were ___________________ against the Lord.

The daughters of Zelophehad were to marry only within the family of their father’s tribe. Why?

By Your power we are not only able to endure, but we can excel and rise above them. With you we are able to go through the fire and come out as silver and gold. By the power of the Holy Spirit, may we not be moved by what we see or by what we hear. May we always declare what You have done for us and be quick to give You praise. Help us to keep our hearts pure and let us not regard iniquity in our hearts.
