3. Read Luke 11:29-32. What does the verse, “The men of Nineveh will rise up in the judgment with this generation and condemn it, for they repented at the preaching of Jonah; and indeed a greater than Jonah is here” mean to you?

4. Read Luke 11:33-36. Why does a person put a lamp on a lamp stand?

Dear Father,

Thank-you that when I cry out to You, You gave ear to me. In times of trouble You are there for me. You comfort me and give me strength. When I seek You, I find You, and You never cast me away from Your presence. You are my sanctuary. You are gracious and shower me with favor and blessings. By the power of the Holy Spirit, help me to remember all the things that You have done for me, and to meditate on Your beauty.

In Jesus’ name, Amen.
