Review and Reflections

1. Read Deuteronomy 34:1- 12. Moses went up from the plains of Moab to Mount Nebo, to the top of Pisgah. What did God show him?

Where did Moses die?

Does anyone know where Moses’ grave is?

Moses was one hundred and twenty years old when he died. His eyes were not ___________nor his natural vigor diminished.

2. Read Joshua 1:1-18. Who took Moses’ place after his death?

God spoke to Joshua and said…

* Every place that the sole of __________  ____________ will tread upon I have given you, as I said to Moses.

* No man shall be able to _____________ before you all the days of your life.

*  I will not leave you nor ______________ you.

* Be strong and very courageous, that you may observe to do according to all the ________ which Moses My servant commanded you.

* This Book of the Law shall not depart from your _____________, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it.

Just like Joshua we must be strong and of good courage;  not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for God is with us _____________________ we go.

The people were to prepare to go into the promised land. How does this apply to our lives?

3. Read Joshua 2:1-24. What did Joshua send the two men to do?

In Jericho, who’s house did they go to for lodging?

When the king sent word for Rahab to send the two men to him, what did Rahab do?

What did Rahab want in return for her kindness?

4. Read Luke 13:22-30. What does the narrow gate represent?

What will Jesus say to those who have do not have a personal relationship with Him?

5. Read Luke 13:31-35. What did Herod want to do to Jesus?

Jesus said, ‘Blessed is He who comes in the ___________ of the Lord!’”

6. Read Luke 14:1-6. Why were the Pharisees closely watching Jesus?

7. Read Proverbs 12:26. Why must the righteous choose their friends carefully?

Dear Father,

When the enemy comes and tries to destroy Your plan for us, You surround us with a wall of protection, and You silence their criticism. Because of the blood of Jesus, You are no longer angry with us. There is no wrath where His blood has been applied. Thank-you that when we call out for forgiveness, You hear our cry and You do not remember our iniquities any more. Your tender mercies come speedily to meet us. We are Your people and the sheep of Your pasture. By the power of the Holy Spirit, we will give You thanks forever, and we will show forth Your praise to all generations.

In Jesus’ name, Amen.
