Review and Reflections

1. Read Joshua 9:3-27. Who tricked the leaders of the children of Israel into making a peace agreement with them?

 

Did the children of Israel ask counsel of the Lord before making the agreement?

 

Why did this agreement displease God?

 

When they found out the men of Gibeon were their neighbors, how did Joshua react?

Dear Father,

Thank-you for the shelter that you give me from my enemies. With You I will never be put to shame or dismayed. You are the Most High. By the power of the Holy Spirit, may I seek more of You, O Lord. It is You, and You alone , that I desire.
