April 15 – Review and Reflections

Today’s Bible Reading

Joshua 11:1-12:24

Luke 17:11-37

Psalm 84:1-12

Proverbs 13:5-6

Review and Reflections

1. Read Joshua 11:1-12:24 . These verses describe the kings that were _________________ .

The cities that stood on mounds, except _________________,  were not burned.

What did they do with the livestock from these cities?

What cities made peace with the children of Israel?

2. Read Luke 17:11-19. How many lepers were there?

What did the lepers cry out?

Jesus responded to their need by telling them to do what?

As they walked away from Jesus they were cleansed (healed). When seeing that they were cleansed (healed), how many returned to thank Jesus?

3. Read Luke 17:20-37. What do these verses describe?

We must be careful about who we follow. Before Jesus returns there will be many _________ who will say that they are Jesus (the Son of God / the Messiah) .

What do “as it was in the days of Noah, so it will be also in the days of the Son of Man” mean?

Before the flood and before Sodom was destroyed, what was happening in the world?

Jesus said, “Whoever seeks to save his life will lose it, and whoever loses his life will preserve it.” How do these words apply to your life?

4. Read Proverbs 13:5-6. What does righteousness mean?

Dear Father,

How lovely is Your tabernacle. My soul longs for Your presence. My heart and my flesh cry out for You, O Lord, the living God. I am so thankful that I have the promise of dwelling in Your house. You are my strength and my heart is set on You. No matter what road is set before me, I place my hope and trust in You. You are my shield and my portion. Thank-you that You will not withhold any good thing from those who walk uprightly. By the power of the Holy Spirit, may I look upon the face of Your anointed. May I praising You all the days of my life and worship You in spirit and in truth.

In Jesus’ name, Amen.
