Review and Reflections

1. Read 1 Chronicles 15:1-16:36. David prepared a place for the ark of God, and pitched a tent for it in the ___________  of _________________.

Who were the only people who could carry the ark?

The children of the Levites bore the ark of God on their shoulders, by its ________________, as Moses had commanded according to the word of the Lord.

All Israel brought up the ark of the covenant of the Lord with shouting and with the sound of the __________ , with trumpets and with _________________, making music with _________________ instruments and harps.

As the ark of the covenant of the Lord came to the City of David, Michal, Saul’s daughter, looked through a window and saw King David whirling and playing music; and she despised him in her heart. Why do you think she despised him?

After the ark of God was set it in the midst of the tabernacle David …

* offered _________________ offerings and peace offerings before God.
*  blessed the people in the ____________ of the Lord.
* distributed to ___________________ of Israel a loaf of bread, a piece of meat, and a cake of raisins.
* appointed some of the Levites to ________________  before the ark of the Lord.

What does “minister to the Lord” mean to you?

Father,
I give thanks to You, O Lord! I will known Your deeds among the peoples! By the power of the Holy Spirit, help me to sing psalms to You and to tell of all Your wondrous works! Glory in Your holy name. Let the hearts of those rejoice who seek the Lord!  Cause us to seek You and Your strength. But most of all, may we seek Your face. May we never forget the marvelous works which You have done. Thank-you for the covenant You have made with us.

In Jesus’ name, Amen

As believers we are to…

*  Proclaim the good news of God’s _______________________ from day to day.
* Declare God’s ________________ among the nations, His wonders among all peoples.
* Fear (reverence and __________________) Him.

2. Read Romans 1:18-32. What does “the wrath of God” mean?

God has revealed what _______________________ and unrighteousness is to man, however many suppress the truth.

Why will men not have an excuse when they stand before God?

Many people profess to know God. However, they know Him in name only. They do not have a personal relationship with Him. They…

* do not ____________ Him as God.

* are not ______________________ to Him.

* are futile in their thoughts, and their foolish __________________ are darkened.
* professing to be _____________ but are really a fool.
* change the glory of the ___________________________ God into an image made like corruptible man.

* lusts in their hearts and ____________________ their bodies.

* exchanged the ____________ of God for a lie.

* worship and served the ___________________ rather than the Creator.

What do the following verses mean / what are they referring to? “For even their women exchanged the natural use for what is against nature. Likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust for one another, men with men committing what is shameful, and receiving in themselves the penalty of their error which was due.”

There is a fine line between condoning and condemning. Why are we not to approve of (condone) someone’s sin?

3. Read Proverbs 19:6-7. How are the wealthy and the poor viewed or treated differently in society?
