A human body was the container that housed Jesus, the Son of God, a very wonderful gift to man.

Jesus Christ, the Son of God was hung on a cross as our sin offering for our sin. It would have been enough for Jesus to shed His blood for our salvation, however He provided much more for us. He allowed His body to be beaten beyond recognition for our healing (spiritual, physical, emotional, and much more). Prior to being hung on the cross Jesus was beaten by spiritually blind people, unknown to them each stripe providing for our healing.
