Candy Clay

4

Need:

1/4 cup margarine- softened

1/4 cup light corn syrup

1/2 teaspoon salt

1 teaspoon vanilla

1 box (1 pound) powdered sugar

waxed paper

food coloring

Pour the corn syrup into a bowl. Add the margarine to the corn syrup and mix well until there are no margarine lumps. Then add the salt, the vanilla extract, and a few drops of the food coloring of your choice to the mixture. Stir until the mixture is well blended. Next, add some of the powdered confectioner’s sugar to the mixture and mix well. Continue adding the powdered confectioner’s sugar a little bit at a time and mixing until you have a fairly stiff dough.

Roll dough on wax paper – your candy clay is ready to use and you can sculpt the sweet, edible clay into whatever shapes you desire. You can store any remaining candy clay in a covered container or a zip lock baggie in the refrigerator. It will keep for several weeks. When you are ready to use it again, just knead it until it is soft again or let it sit until it reaches room temperature.

Birds In A Nest

1

On the fifth day God turned his attention to the water he had collected in the oceans. God created the fish and all other living creatures in the oceans and the lakes. He also created the birds to fly above the earth.

Genesis 1:20-23 NKJV

“Then God said, “Let the waters abound with an abundance of living creatures, and let birds fly above the earth across the face of the firmament of the heavens.” So God created great sea creatures and every living thing that moves, with which the waters abounded, according to their kind, and every winged bird according to its kind. And God saw that it was good. And God blessed them, saying, “Be fruitful and multiply, and fill the waters in the seas, and let birds multiply on the earth.” So the evening and the morning were the fifth day.”

So God created great sea creatures and every living thing that moves, with which the waters abounded, according to their kind, and every winged bird according to its kind. And God saw that it was good. And God blessed them, saying, “Be fruitful and multiply, and fill the waters in the seas, and let birds multiply on the earth.”
